I love this comment on Matt Cutts’ blog. Matt is talking about viral marketing and the tactics used by a website to spread the word.
“The buzz built pretty organically. USB drives were left in bathrooms at conferences and messages were hidden in conference T-shirts. It’s much better to let people find you than to push too hard to get noticed. The links from the people-find-you approach are more organic than if someone spammed to get links to viral sites.”
I added bold to the comment I am referring to. Think about it, Matt Cutts telling you it is better to let people find you.
If it works for viral marketing, it works for search engine optimization. But then again you would know that if you were attended our last workshop.
